Ordered as V70109, this is an AS568-109 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.299 in (7.59 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.505 in (12.83 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
