APG stocks the V70117, an AS568-117 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.799 in (20.29 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.005 in (25.53 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, oil and gas, and aerospace.
