V70141 is an AS568-141 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.3 in (58.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.506 in (63.65 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids.

Typical settings include oil and gas, chemical processing, and high-temperature process equipment.
