V70161 is an AS568-161 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
