This o-ring is supplied in AS568-218 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 1.234 in (31.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.512 in (38.4 mm), catalogued under part number V70218. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or hot water and steam.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
