The V70223 is an AS568-223 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.609 in (40.87 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.887 in (47.93 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
