APG stocks the V70225, an AS568-225 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.859 in (47.22 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.137 in (54.28 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.

Typical settings include oil and gas, high-temperature process equipment, and chemical processing.
