Ordered as V70232, this is an AS568-232 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.734 in (69.44 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.012 in (76.5 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists chlorinated solvents, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
