V70233 is an AS568-233 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.859 in (72.62 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.137 in (79.68 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
