V70260 is an AS568-260 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.484 in (164.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.762 in (171.75 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aggressive chemicals. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
