Ordered as V70261, this is an AS568-261 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.734 in (171.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.012 in (178.1 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.

Typical settings include aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and chemical processing.
