APG stocks the V70409, an AS568-409 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.475 in (62.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.025 in (76.84 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
