V70418 is an AS568-418 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.15 in (105.41 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
