An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.
