Ordered as V70468, this is an AS568-468 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 19.455 in (494.16 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 20.005 in (508.13 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
