Part number V70908 is an AS568-908 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.644 in (16.36 mm), a cross section of 0.087 in (2.21 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Expect good resistance to many acids, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and automotive fuel systems.
