Ordered as V75MD008, this is an AS568-008 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.316 in (8.03 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
