This o-ring is supplied in AS568-216 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 1.109 in (28.17 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.387 in (35.23 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD216. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.
