This o-ring is supplied in AS568-230 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 2.484 in (63.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.762 in (70.15 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD230. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters are present.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include aerospace, automotive fuel systems, and oil and gas.
