Part number V75MD238 is an AS568-238 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.484 in (88.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.762 in (95.55 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
