This o-ring is supplied in AS568-116 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 0.737 in (18.72 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.943 in (23.95 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD116. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
