V75MD270 is an AS568-270 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.984 in (228.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.262 in (235.25 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
