This o-ring is supplied in AS568-265 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 7.734 in (196.44 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.012 in (203.5 mm), catalogued under part number V75265. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or hot water and steam.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, automotive fuel systems, and high-temperature process equipment.
