This o-ring is supplied in AS568-362 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 6.225 in (158.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.645 in (168.78 mm), catalogued under part number V75362. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hot water and steam or ketones and esters call for a different compound.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and semiconductor equipment.
