An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
