This o-ring is supplied in AS568-038 brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 2.614 in (66.4 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.754 in (69.95 mm), catalogued under part number VB75038. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.
