The VB75049 is an AS568-049 brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.989 in (126.72 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.129 in (130.28 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters are present.

Typical settings include oil and gas, aerospace, and chemical processing.
