This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 10 mm (0.394 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 13 mm (0.51 in), catalogued under part number V1.5X10. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or amines are present.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
