Part number V1X12 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 12 mm (0.472 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 14 mm (0.55 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability.
