APG stocks the V2.7X12.1, a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 12.1 mm (0.476 in), a cross section of 2.7 mm (0.106 in), and an outside diameter of 17.5 mm (0.69 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

Typical settings include aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and chemical processing.
