This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 12.5 mm (0.492 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 17.5 mm (0.69 in), catalogued under part number V2.5X12.5. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is known for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

Typical settings include oil and gas, high-temperature process equipment, and aerospace.
