Part number V3X140 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 140 mm (5.512 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 146 mm (5.75 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
