V2X18 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 18 mm (0.709 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 22 mm (0.87 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.
