The V2.5X18.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 18.5 mm (0.728 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 23.5 mm (0.93 in). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
