Ordered as V1.5X21.5, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 21.5 mm (0.846 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 24.5 mm (0.96 in). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. The catalog record notes: Metric O-RING, JIS S22.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.
