V3X22.2 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 22.2 mm (0.874 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 28.2 mm (1.11 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
