Ordered as V75233, this is an AS568-233 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.859 in (72.62 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.137 in (79.68 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids.
