This o-ring is supplied in AS568-268 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 8.484 in (215.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.762 in (222.55 mm), catalogued under part number V75268. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
