Part number V3X27.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 27.5 mm (1.083 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 33.5 mm (1.32 in). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, high-temperature process equipment, and chemical processing.
