This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 28 mm (1.102 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 33 mm (1.3 in), catalogued under part number V2.5X28. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
