This o-ring is supplied in AS568-281 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 14.984 in (380.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.262 in (387.65 mm), catalogued under part number V75281. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters.
