The V3X31.2 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 31.2 mm (1.228 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 37.2 mm (1.46 in). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
