Ordered as VB75348, this is an AS568-348 brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.35 in (110.49 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.77 in (121.16 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and oil and gas.
