AS568-350 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.6 in (116.84 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.02 in (127.51 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
