This o-ring is supplied in AS568-357 brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 5.475 in (139.07 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.895 in (149.73 mm), catalogued under part number VB75357. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

Common environments for this compound include automotive fuel systems, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
