The V5X36 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 36 mm (1.417 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 46 mm (1.81 in). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or amines will shorten service life.
