Ordered as VB75371, this is an AS568-371 brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.895 in (225.93 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
