This o-ring is supplied in AS568-379 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 10.975 in (278.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.395 in (289.43 mm), catalogued under part number V75379. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ketones and esters or amines will shorten service life.
