V1X38 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 38 mm (1.496 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 40 mm (1.57 in). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters are present.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
