This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 38 mm (1.496 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 43 mm (1.69 in), catalogued under part number V2.5X38. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Expect good resistance to many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

It sees regular use in aerospace, automotive fuel systems, and semiconductor equipment.
